Crawshaw Hall was featured in the Rossendale Free Press on Friday the 9th November within the Souvenir Special section, it was a pleasant surprise to be named as having arguably one of Crawshawbooth's most impressive of buildings.
We are pleased to announce that refurbishment work of Crawshaw Hall will be taking place starting Monday 16th September. The works include relocation of the Kitchen and Laundry, creation of on suite facilities for a number of bedrooms as well as increasing the number of single bedrooms. A brand new lift is being installed and the hallways are being re-carpeted and redecorated. We are also installing a new integrated wireless telephone and nurse call system, and external CCTV for the safety of residents, staff and visitors.
An excellent day was had at Crawshaw Hall on Saturday celebrating 20 years of delivering care. We were delighted that Ted Robbins took time to attend the event which was enjoyed by everyone. Other visitors also included the Mayoress of Rossendale, people from Groundwork Pennine (responsible for renovating the gardens earlier in the year) and many residents' relatives, friends and people locally. Many activities went on including karaoke, a bouncy castle for the kids, treasure hunt, tumbola even sumo wrestling.

More than £10'000 has been spent on renovating the gardens at Crawshaw Hall. The plan included over 500 new plants, planting of 9 beds, 40 tons of limestone chippings and over 500 man hours of labour. Residents, their families and staff have been very supportive of the project and the end result speaks for itself. The scheme was carried out by Groundwork Pennine Contracts with continued input from Marc Karoo - Operations Manager at Crawshaw Hall. Alan Green, contracts manager for Groundwork, said 'It has been a privilege to work at Crawshaw Hall - it's given us the opportunity to show our horticultural expertise. I was really pleased when I was asked to do this because there are not many homes like this in the area.'
