Crawshaw Hall Nursing Home opened in 1987 providing specialised care to elderly mentally infirm people (50 years and over) suffering from a wide range of psychological illnesses.
Within our specialist dementia care facilities, our Registered Mental Nurses and trained Carers are committed to the ongoing development of best dementia care practices through sharing ideas and experiences with healthcare colleagues and through continuous learning.
Our facilities are safe and incorporate many home comforts, to reinforce residents' familiarity with their surroundings. Specialist activities for people with memory-impairments may also be provided. Reminiscence therapy can reduce frustration about short term memory loss. Complementary therapies and other sensory experiences are also used to great effect.
AIMS - We recognise that each and every resident is a unique person. Our aim is always to preserve resident's dignity, quality of life, to treat each person with respect, love and understanding.
In addition to the in-house Medical Care Facilities, residents receive around the clock care by Registered nurses and our own G.P. Support, advice and regular visits from a wide pool of professionals such as speech therapists, physiotherapists, Social Workers, Opticians, Dentists, dieticians, chiropodists and family counsellors.
Regular reviews are conducted with you, your family/next of kin, medical, nursing and social work professionals. A personal written care plan is modified for you after each assessment to ensure you receive the correct nature and quality of care.
If you need further advice please do not hesitate to contact us. There are various voluntary organisaions in the locality that also provides support to families and we will be pleased to get them to contact you.
